Solar PV Installation Technician


Bioland Energy Ltd, one of Cyprus' leading renewable energy companies, headquartered in Larnaca, is seeking a Solar PV Installation Technician to join our Installation Department.

Position Details


Location: Larnaca (with travel to project sites across Cyprus)

Department: Installation Department

Reports to: Site Civil Engineer


Key Responsibilities


  • Assist in the installation of photovoltaic (PV) systems for residential, commercial, and industrial projects.

  • Participate in the construction and installation of utility-scale solar PV parks.

  • Install solar panels, mounting structures, and associated equipment.

  • Assist with the electrical and mechanical installation of photovoltaic systems.

  • Carry out site preparation and installation activities in accordance with technical drawings, engineering specifications, and instructions provided by the Engineering team.

  • Perform routine inspections and quality control checks to ensure installation works comply with company standards and project requirements.

  • Report technical issues, defects, or deviations to the relevant Site Supervisor in a timely manner.

  • Comply with all Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures, ensuring the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.

  • Work collaboratively with Electricians, Engineers, and other installation team members to ensure the safe, efficient, and timely completion of projects.


Required Qualifications


  • Minimum of two 2 years of experience in photovoltaic (PV) system installations or other relevant technical installation roles.

  • Good command of the Greek language. Knowledge of English will be considered an advantage.

  • Good physical fitness and the ability to work at height.

  • Valid Category B driving licence.

  • Basic computer literacy.

  • Strong sense of responsibility, reliability, and teamwork.

  • Willingness to travel to project sites throughout Cyprus. (manual driving license)


Desirable Qualifications


The following will be considered an advantage:

  • Previous experience with rooftop photovoltaic systems and/or utility-scale solar parks.

  • Technical education or experience in the electrical or construction industry.

  • Basic knowledge of electrical installations.

  • Valid Working at Heights certification.

  • Experience using electrical and manual installation tools.

  • Experience using Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and fall protection systems.


Working Conditions


  • Full-time position with travel to construction sites and customer installations across Cyprus.

  • Work is primarily carried out outdoors and at height.

  • Occasional work outside normal working hours and/or weekends may be required, depending on project requirements.
